About Ballarat Memorials . . . .
The business "Ballarat Memorials" was started in 1935, when after working for Barrow & Son stonemasons, Les senior decided to start his own business. Over a period of time Les built up the business and he employed other stonemasons to assist him with the ever growing business.
In 1960 his son Bob joined him and together they worked for 20 years in the Ballarat and surrounding country cemeteries. Working from Ballarat to Daylesford their work was recognised for outstanding workmanship and examples of their craft can be seen in many locations.
In 1980 Les senior retired and in the same year Les junior joined the business, working with Bob for the next 10 years until 1990 when another son, Bob junior, joined the business.
In 1991 Bob senior passed away suddenly, and the third generation now continue the proud tradition of quality and professional memorial work.
